A UK based pharma company has appointed Aagami to look for strategic partnership relating to their branded generics laxative for treatment of chronic constipation and faecal impaction, for India market.

Client seeks to enter the Indian market through a local partner which already has marketing and selling strength in the geography. Their laxative product is already on the market in the EU,and has partnerships established in China and South Africa. Their laxative is the only type of oral laxative in EU which is approved for both chronic constipation and faecal impaction. It is formulated with the aim of being physiologically inert and preventing dehydration; two formulations exist making it suitable for both adult and children over 2 years of age. It is a high quality product manufactured in the UK, with very good efficacy.

The total yearly sales of laxatives in India is in excess of INR 850 crores, and Aagami will prospect companies who may be looking to increase its current market share in the laxatives category, or consider entering the market segment.
