Top Highlights for Aug 2015:

  1. Cipla bidding for Belgian drug maker Kremers Urban; Acquisition pegged at USD 1.3 billion.
  2. Cipla acquires two US-based generic Cos InvaGen Pharma and Exelan Pharma for $550 mn.
  3. Dr. Reddy's grab market rights for three Amgen drugs in India [Kyprolis® (carfilzomib),BLINCYTO® (blinatumomab) and Repatha™ (evolocumab)].
  4. Dr Reddy's scouting for acquisitions to expand their business in Europe. America is currently its biggest market (about 45 per cent of revenue).
  5. India based BPL Medical Technologies acquires UK based Penlon for expanding its presence in the critical care segment in 96 countries.
  6. Following signing of agreement in May 2015, Strides has now completed acquisition of Aspen in Australia.
