Aagami, Inc., a boutique global life science strategic consulting firm, has been awarded an exclusive, unrestricted global advisory assignment by a prominent US-based, clinical-stage resuscitation therapeutics company.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Aagami will act as the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to secure global co-development partners, corporate venture capital, and specialized investment for the company’s breakthrough biologic asset, which is positioned to enter a Phase 3 pivotal clinical trial.
The asset—a repurposed, established EPO biologic—targets the reduction of ischemia-reperfusion injury and the mitigation of post-resuscitation myocardial and cerebral dysfunction following Out-of-Hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest (OHCA). The therapeutic approach fundamentally improves the hemodynamic efficacy of chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The therapeutic program has successfully completed preclinical supportive work in multiple animal models and a positive clinical proof-of-concept study in Europe. Notably, following a favorable pre-IND meeting, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed that the existing data package provides sufficient supportive evidence to move directly into a Phase 3 pivotal trial.
